In the period 1750 - 1900, revolutions arose around the world, from Europe, to the Caribbean, to North America. While these weren’t the first revolutions (and certainly not the last!), the American, French, Haitian, and Latin American revolutions caused shockwaves across the world that had never seen before. Spurred by the problems of industrialization and corrupt rulers, these revolutions challenged social norms through Enlightenment philosophies and through reform movements like feminism and abolitionism.
