Definition

Self-Determination Theory is a psychological theory that focuses on the importance of intrinsic motivation and the satisfaction of basic psychological needs in promoting personal growth and well-being. It suggests that individuals are motivated to pursue activities that fulfill their need for autonomy, competence, and relatedness.
