Short-Answer Questions (SAQ) in AP World have clearly identifiable components, most often: a thinking skill, a theme, and content related to history. Understanding how SAQ are put together helps students to be more successful in answering them. Successful students understand the different between answering a question and supporting it with evidence. Like with any skill, scoring well on SAQ comes from practice with all possible tasks. In this case these are questions with secondary sources, questions with primary sources, and those that stand alone.
