Definition

The coracoid process is a small hook-like structure projecting from the anterior surface of the scapula in the pectoral girdle, playing a vital role in muscle attachment and stabilizing the shoulder joint. It serves as an attachment point for several muscles, including the pectoralis minor, coracobrachialis, and the short head of the biceps brachii.
