Photosynthesis

november 1, 2018

Resources

In this session, we cover photosynthesis. We begin by discussing the purpose of photosynthesis (converting light into usable, chemical energy). We cover the two major steps of photosynthesis (by discussing light reactions and the Calvin cycle). We understand the multi-step process of light reactions (chloroplast stroma and thylakoid lumen). We discuss what goes in and what comes out with light reactions, and we discuss what goes in and what comes out with the Calvin cycle. We give an overview of the entire process, before ending with multiple choice practice (in a lab set up).
