AP US Government
Unit 1 – Foundations of American Democracy
Topic 1.8
How might U.S federation be different if Founding Fathers chose a unitary instead of a federal system?
Each state would govern independently with no central authority involved at all.
It wouldn’t make any difference as both systems offer similar structures for governance.
All policy decisions and implementations would come directly from a central government body.
States would reserve all rights while central government's role is limited to defense and foreign affairs only.
