Definition

Combinatorial chemistry is a method in organic chemistry for synthesizing a large number of different compounds by combining sets of building blocks. It allows scientists to rapidly create and test thousands of related molecules for their ability to perform specific chemical functions, such as binding to a target molecule in drug development.
