Second-wave feminism is a period of feminist activity that began in the early 1960s in the United States and focused on issues of equality and discrimination beyond suffrage, including workplace, family, sexuality, and reproductive rights. This movement expanded feminism's agenda to a wider range of social and legal inequalities.
