Irredentism

Definition

Irredentism is a political and popular movement that seeks to reclaim and reoccupy a territory considered "lost" or culturally/historically related to the nation but currently under foreign domination. It often involves advocating for the annexation of territories based on claims of prior historical possession, ethnic ties, or cultural similarities.
