Intentionality:The directedness of consciousness towards an object or state of affairs. Intentionality is a core concept in phenomenology that describes how our mental states are always about or directed at something.
Noesis:The act of consciousness or the mental process that is directed towards the noema. The noesis is the subjective, experiential side of intentionality.
Phenomenological Reduction: The methodological practice of bracketing or suspending our natural attitude towards the world in order to focus on the structures of consciousness and its intentional objects (the noema).
