Nebuchadnezzar II was a prominent king of the Neo-Babylonian Empire who ruled from 605 to 562 BCE. He is best known for his military conquests, including the destruction of Jerusalem and the subsequent Babylonian Exile of the Jewish people, as well as for his extensive building projects in Babylon, which included the famed Hanging Gardens, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
