Higher in the Sky

from class:

AP Psychology

Definition

When an object, such as a full moon, appears smaller when it is higher in the sky compared to when it is near the horizon. This phenomenon occurs due to the perception of size constancy, where our brain takes into account distance cues to interpret the size of objects.
