A mental health condition characterized by extreme mood swings between manic episodes (highs) and depressive episodes (lows).
Manic Episode: A period of abnormally elevated, energetic, or irritable mood often accompanied by increased activity levels and decreased need for sleep.
Depressive Episode: A period of intense sadness, loss of interest or pleasure in activities, changes in appetite or sleep patterns, feelings of worthlessness or guilt, and difficulty concentrating.
