Definition

Ribosomal RNA (rRNA) is a type of RNA that, along with proteins, forms the structure of ribosomes, which are the cellular components responsible for protein synthesis. It plays a critical role in translating the genetic instructions from messenger RNA (mRNA) into amino acid sequences of proteins.
